Gujarat Budget 2022-23 Highlights

Gujarat Budget 2022 is being presented by Gujarat Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai. Finance Minister Kanubhai has arrived with a budget while Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said that this budget will be a people-oriented and all-inclusive budget, a budget that meets the expectations of the people.

The goal of the New Year budget is to take the development of Gujarat to the highest level.

The budget is being presented by Finance Minister Kanu Desai.

Gujarat Budget 2022-23 Highlights

Finance Minister's announcement regarding taxes:

- No change in the current tax structure

- No new tax announcement

- Exemption from professional tax on monthly salary up to 12,000

- 15 lakh taxpayers will get this relief

- The government will have to spend Rs 198 crore to abolish professional tax

12,024 crore for road transport development

- Allocation of Rs. 4100 crore for overbridge at a railway crossing

- Overbridge on 78 railway line

- Allocation of Rs. 2440 crore for development of the coastal area

- Bagodra-Rajkot highway will be made 6 lanes at a cost of 3350 crore

The dream of a home will come true

- There will be more focus on PM housing in rural areas

- The government will build 400,000 new homes next year

- Rs. 933 crore was allocated

Mukhyamantri Gram Asmita Yojana

- 4000 villages will be provided free WiFi facility

- 71 crore allocated for free Wifi

Budget allocation for a barrage

- Provision of Rs. 35 crore for Sabarmati river Hirpura, Vasana barrage

- Provision of Rs. 35 crore for check dam, barrage scheme on rivers of South Gujarat

- Provision of Rs. 25 crores for providing irrigation water to the riparian areas of Ahmedabad

34,884 crore for the education sector

- Last year, the government allocated Rs 32,719 crore for this department

- 7% annual increase in education sector budget

1188 crore for the Mission School of Excellence project

- Provision of 12 crores for Ayurvedic college in Surendranagar district

4976 crore for 2022-23 for women and child development

- 3511 crores was allocated for this department last year

- Allocated under Nutritious Mother, Healthy Child Scheme

- Government's name to provide nutritious food to pregnant women for 1000 days

- Women will be given 1 kg of chickpeas, edible oil during pregnancy

- Budget of 917 crores for widow assistance pension scheme

- Provision of Rs. 45 crore for the availability of menstrual awareness sanitary pad

- Separate allotment also for 90 new squeaky vans
